So, the author made the character bisexual cause he was molested by his uncle. I know that’s kind of a stereotype. Next, having the character explore and embraced his identity till a series of mishaps made him want to give up his bisexuality and go straight. He gets involved with the church to help find some comfort and positivity in his life and I understand that part and I think it’s great. What I didnt like was having the character cement his heterosexuality by “curing” him of HIV after his tested positive for the strand twice and not giving any explanation of what could have caused the misdiagnosis on the first two test and trying to pass it off as a miracle. I didnt like the story and I dont know if I should be offended this story as a gay man
