Most descriptions will have snippets of reviews from famous authors or critics, Exordia has glowing reviews from all the greats in queer SFF, I could plop down any of those, I’ll simply say instead: this is my favorite piece of Sci-Fi writing ever. I originally pirated this book on release 2 years ago, I bought a copy with my first paycheck, and recently bought the audiobook as well. Do yourself a favor and read it.

Great story but I had to stop listening 1/4 of the way in. The narrator was a very poor choice for this book: a soft spoken English lady with a posh accent just doesn’t work, many of the characters are American soldiers, she doesn’t even attempt the accent and her “man voice” sounds like my wife who just woke up at 5am, stumbled out of bed and is mumbling on their way to putting the kettle on while still half asleep.
Sulin Hasso does great at least for the female protagonists but hers is a voice for a princes in a fantasy novel or a Mills and Boon. Imagine they could’ve gotten Christian Rummel for the door kickers. Such a pity because the book itself is really fun.
