Lets be honest guys, there are a lot of different tastes and reading preferences. Ontop of LGBT, I also enjoy fantasy, LitRPGs, adventure and epics and Zombies and dystopian. I also have a lot of those, but most of them already go up within days of being released, so I don’t need to put them up. But LGBT books don’t get as much shares. People who enjoy reading them deserve the same amount of options as the other genres.

Well, wasn’t that fun and all! I understand the need for various kind of lit, but to flood the site with one marginal group’s favourites is stupid and bound to cause lashing out.
How about putting them up in big packages with a label telling to stay out for those of us wishing to stay ignorant of the people with those amazing sixpacks?

illodiini: The influx of these books is literally because I just learned to do this, and I learned because I live in Brazil, my best friend lives in the US, and she just found out she has cancer. All of this, everything I’m uploading is for her because Google Sharing doesn’t support so many files at once, and I didn’t know how else to get these for her so she could go to chemo therapy. I even uploaded the young adult and fantasy series I know she’ll like. I don’t really care what kind of people lash out. And to be honest man, I don’t know how to upload shit in large bundles and I had like 4 days before she started chemo.

How about you and your ilk take that breeder porn full of heaving bosoms and TSTL heroines (with covers that ALSO feature entirely unreasonable STRAIGHT guy six-packs) and pack THAT crap up for those of us that don’t want to have to deal?
Every time I come here there are always 3-4 times more “straight” romance books than there are lesbian or gay themed books. Until recently it was WEEKS between upload shares of books I was interested in. I’m sure that “norm” will be in place once AkemiAsh finishes sharing so all the traumatized bigots can just stop freaking out that their world is being taken over by the “gay agenda” and go back to worshipping Cheetolini.

get over yourself. the world doesn’t revolve around you. i come here every day to see this sight flooded with straight romance, urban fantasy, historical… tons of genres i don’t personally listen to. never once did i take the time to complain and argue that it’s trolling for someone to post something that’s not for me. there’s categories on the side for your viewing pleasure. do us all a favor, take your bigoted mouth, shut it the f up, and use the categories to find what you want like any sane person would.

Your explanation is good and valid, imo. I was personally pissed when I almost missed one book I’ve been waiting for. I have friends with various orientations, funny and intelligent folks people, and their sexuality doesn’t come up almost never. Nor mine.
Finally, this is a good place to get good literature, but it is possible to use it wrong. Treat others as you want yourself treated and all that.

Yeah… that would work if the post I was responding to wasn’t deleted by you or the people who run this site. There’s no agenda here, love is love, and if you don’t like it why are you here? Like I said before, every taste is represented here and you can easily find what you’re looking for. Hating the fact that a genre that’s rarely uploaded gets a Christmas mother-load of books reveals your character. It takes nothing away from you, so why so bothered? And if this really was about practicality, you’d just use the categories like I said. There’s a bazillion books to choose from. But don’t let me stop you. Keep pretending, just keep in mind the only person you’re fooling is you. We see you.

Someone overly eager deleted it with some other posts. It wasn’t that bad. Or that important, I admit.
I generally think that one should live and let live. But it’s painfully obvious that you don’t get the system here. So, you’re either stupid or you want really to appear a victim.

@AkemiAsh I didn’t bother reading what others have said. All I know is these are my thing, and you saved my sanity bc I could zone out with my wireless earbuds instead of listening to my family yell all Christmas. I’ve bought hundreds of books, and @ud1b|£ downloads at 17.99-24.99/book. It’s nice to have a break and try new narrators sometimes without investing 25 bucks. Thank you!

Trust me when I say, I know the feeling. I’ve been using this site for 3 years before I started actually buying the books once I could afford them. I have depression and anxiety, to curb both of them I use books. Physical, kindle, or audio it doesn’t matter, I read at least a book a day, sometimes more if I’m reading and listening at the same time. Last year I read 386 books. My Goodreads kept track of my reading challenge, it was so much fun. Now that I got deported from the US though, I’m not working so I can’t afford the new books coming out, so I decided to share the books I already bought that maybe weren’t shared yet. Who knows, maybe I saved someone’s life?
